When was the last time I was gasping for air like this?

My lungs seem to be collapsing & I’m too busy having fun to notice

I forgot about how much you used to feel more like home to me than anywhere else in the world

And though you’ll always have your place in my heart

I seem to have found a new center to revolve my world around

And though I’ll never forget how much you shaped the person that I am today

And I miss you more than I could ever really say

I’m happy to have parted ways

It only helped me learn how to appreciate you even more
